Call Me by My Home

29.11.2025 - 22.03.2026

In an era where the myth of urban growth has come to an end, we must learn to read reduction as a new language for life.
Busan Museum of Contemporary Art, 2025 Busan MoCA Platform_Call Me By My Home explores the architectural and urban strategy of “spaces oriented toward reduction” within today’s urban realities — population decline, regional disappearance, single-person households, aging, and the reorganization of care.
This exhibition does not aim to make the city smaller, but to rebuild the structure of life itself.
Housing is redefined as the smallest unit that holds both individuality and community.
Streets are reshaped into the scale where care can reach.
Architecture is reassembled within sustainable cycles of resources and manageable scales.
‘Reduction’ is not a form of decline, but a process of evolution that seeks the sustainable scale of living.
By subtracting, the city gains more relationships, more care, and deeper connections.
This exhibition explores the possibility of a “right-sized city” — one that grows not by expansion, but by balance and continuity.
